Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacist is responsible for providing healthcare services through professional and effective pharmaceutical practice. This includes advising patients on the safe and appropriate use of medications, monitoring drug quality, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, and contributing to improved patient outcomes and overall health by ensuring optimal medication use and promoting healthy lifestyle awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dispense over-the-counter medications to customers.
  • Provide counseling to patients while maintaining confidentiality and dispensing appropriate treatment for minor conditions.
  • Prepare and dispense prescribed medications scientifically or in coordination with the treating physician in case the prescribed medication is unavailable, ensuring availability for the customer and compliance with pharmaceutical ethics and regulations.
  • Participate in organizing and managing inspection visits and handling cosmetic and therapeutic products, including scheduling and arranging medications.
  • Support the medical team in various activities and events while ensuring coordination with administrative requirements and customer inquiries.
  • Document all dispensed medications accurately.
  • Prepare medications and dosages as requested according to need and report them to the branch manager.
  • Make dispensing decisions within the branch in case of medication shortages, following proper clinical judgment.
  • Provide instructions and precautions to patients, and advise customers on proper medication use.
  • Provide medical support to the pharmacy’s medical and nursing staff.
  • Assist in inventory organization and record keeping.
  • Monitor daily reports and electronic systems within the Smart System.
  • Perform all pharmacy-related duties in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to professional development by attending training workshops and programs.
  • Provide full support within the branch to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Handle issues that may arise within the pharmacy and attempt to resolve them; escalate to management when necessary.

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Experience

  • At least one year of experience in community pharmacies or hospitals is preferred.
